Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A working group on security issues, comprised of representatives from Russia, the United States, and Ukraine, held its first meeting in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on the evening of the 23rd.
UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with the heads of the three delegations attending the meeting and expressed his hope that the dialogue would contribute to an end to the conflict, while reiterating the UAE's commitment to supporting dialogue.
UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Abdullah Abdullah stated in a statement that he hoped the talks would lead to "concrete steps to end this crisis that has lasted for nearly four years and caused immense humanitarian suffering."
This meeting marks the first trilateral contact between Russia, the United States, and Ukraine since the escalation of the Russia-Ukraine conflict in February 2022, and will last for two days.
