Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Russian President Vladimir Putin stated at a meeting of the Standing Committee of the Russian Security Council on the 21st that Russia has received an invitation from US President Donald Trump to join the so-called "Peace Committee," and has instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to study the matter.
According to the Russian presidential website, regarding the US government's recent announcement of the establishment of the so-called "Peace Committee" to oversee the post-war transition in the Gaza Strip, Putin stated that Russia has indeed received a personal invitation from US President Trump. He has instructed the Russian Foreign Ministry to study the received documents and consult with Russia's strategic partners before responding to the invitation. He stated that Russia has always supported and will continue to support all efforts aimed at strengthening international stability, and has also noted the efforts made by the current US administration to seek a solution to the Ukraine crisis.
Putin also emphasized that for the Middle East peace process, and for seeking feasible solutions to the urgent problems facing the Palestinian people and the severe humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, the most important thing is that the entire process should create favorable conditions for a lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on relevant UN resolutions; it is essential to fully consider the basic needs and aspirations of the Palestinian people, including the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and its basic social infrastructure, healthcare, water supply, and food supply.
Putin stated that, in light of this, even before Russia makes a decision on whether to participate in the Peace Commission and its work, Russia is willing to allocate $1 billion from its assets frozen by the previous US administration to the Peace Commission. Furthermore, after Russia and Ukraine reach a peace agreement, the remaining funds in Russia's US-frozen assets can be used to rebuild areas damaged in the conflict. Russia is discussing this possibility with US government representatives.
Putin stated that he plans to discuss related issues with visiting Palestinian President Abbas on the 22nd, and also with US Presidential Envoy Witkov and Trump's son-in-law Kushner, who will be visiting Moscow on the 22nd, and to continue dialogue on the Ukraine issue.
Regarding Greenland, Putin stated that Greenland's fate is unrelated to Russia. He believes the US and Denmark can resolve the Greenland issue themselves. (End)
