
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of December 29th, a trilateral meeting between China, Cambodia, and Thailand officially opened in Yunnan Province, China. The meeting aimed to conduct in-depth consultations on the latest developments in the Cambodia-Thailand border situation and jointly seek effective ways to maintain regional security and stability.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, and Thai Foreign Minister Norodom Sihasak jointly attended the meeting.

According to an official press release from the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the trilateral meeting aimed to conduct frank and constructive exchanges on the current situation between Cambodia and Thailand. The core objectives of the meeting were to eliminate misunderstandings, strengthen communication mechanisms between neighboring countries, manage differences through dialogue to avoid escalation of conflict, and strive to restore peace, security, and lasting stability in the Cambodia-Thailand border region for the benefit of the border residents of both countries.
On the eve of the trilateral meeting (December 28th), Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn held a bilateral meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Deputy Prime Minister Prak Sokhonn expressed his deep appreciation for China's positive role in mediating the Cambodia-Thailand differences and supporting a ceasefire between the two sides.

Basokhun emphasized that China has always adhered to resolving international disputes peacefully through dialogue, diplomacy, and mutual respect. He pointed out that China's continued support has played a crucial balancing and promoting role in the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement and the establishment of a just and lasting peace mechanism.
