A spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated through official channels that as a friendly neighbor and friend of Cambodia and Thailand, China is highly concerned about the current border conflict between Cambodia and Thailand and has been continuously urging both sides to cooperate and actively playing a role in de-escalating the situation.
This special envoy's visit aims to promote communication between the two sides, advance the peaceful resolution of the dispute, and create conditions for the early realization of lasting peace in the border region. China consistently advocates that neighboring countries properly handle differences through friendly consultation and jointly safeguard regional peace and cooperation.
