
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to TASS and other Russian media reports on the 3rd local time, a passenger plane operating a Moscow-Phuket route returned to Moscow's Domodedovo Airport after an engine fire occurred during takeoff. The plane has now landed successfully.
According to reports, the Russian Federal Air Transport Agency stated that there were no injuries on board.
The report stated that the plane took off from Domodedovo Airport at 9:19 PM Moscow time. Shortly after takeoff, the pilot noticed an engine malfunction, immediately notified air traffic control of the fire, and activated the emergency alarm. The onboard fire suppression system was subsequently activated and extinguished the fire.
The report mentioned that the flight was operated by a Boeing 777-200 operated by Red Wings Airlines. It circled over the Moscow area for more than an hour, carrying 425 people. Initial reports indicated that the captain decided to return to the departure airport due to engine failure.
