
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report by the Vietnam News Agency (VNA) correspondent in Beijing, a ministerial-level meeting on jointly combating telecom and online fraud by China, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam was recently held in Kunming, Yunnan Province.
Representatives from the law enforcement agencies of the six participating countries held in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation in combating transnational cybercrime and telecom fraud, and reached a series of consensuses. China's Ministry of Public Security stated that this meeting marks an important stage in law enforcement cooperation between China and Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Thailand in combating transnational cybercrime and telecom fraud.
The law enforcement agencies of the six countries jointly signed the meeting's outcome document. All parties demonstrated a strong willingness to jointly combat transnational cybercrime and telecom fraud, pledging to conduct multinational joint operations, establish a regular cooperation mechanism, strengthen intelligence sharing, continuously promote the repatriation and transfer of individuals involved in fraud, constantly improve the effectiveness of crackdowns and rectification efforts, and jointly maintain regional peace and stability.
