Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjártó announced on social media on the 16th that visa facilitation arrangements for relevant Chinese business travelers will be extended for another year.
Szijjártó stated that Hungary will extend visa facilitation arrangements for senior executives and business travelers from Chinese companies coming to Hungary for economic and trade cooperation, and will complete visa processing within 48 hours. This move is a response to China's recent announcement of extending its visa-free policy for Hungarian citizens, aiming to support bilateral exchanges in the economic, educational, and tourism sectors.
To further promote people-to-people exchanges between China and other countries, China decided in March 2024 to expand the scope of visa-free countries, piloting a visa-free policy for holders of ordinary passports from six countries, including Hungary. Hungary subsequently announced that it would implement facilitation arrangements for issuing five-year multiple-entry visas to relevant Chinese business travelers. Earlier this month, China decided to extend the visa-free policy for Hungary and other countries until December 31, 2026.
