A woman preparing for a performance was stabbed by a stranger, sustaining serious injuries to her left abdomen and right hand. She was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
The report stated that a witness described the man as running very fast and acting strangely. He was wearing a black hat and a mask, and was about 180 centimeters tall. I felt something was wrong and chased after him, only to see a bicycle at a corner. He jumped on it and fled towards Aoyama.
According to NHK, the incident occurred in a busy area about 150 meters southwest of Akasaka-Mitsuo Station on the Tokyo Metro. Police believe the man is still at large with a weapon and are investigating his whereabouts on suspicion of attempted murder.
