According to the Ministry of Natural Resources, under the combined influence of Typhoon Fung-wong (No. 26 of this year) and cold air, the northern part of the South China Sea is expected to experience waves of 6 to 9 meters from this afternoon (11th) to the afternoon of the 12th, with storm surges of 50 to 110 centimeters along the coast from Ningde, Fujian to Shenzhen, Guangdong.
The National Marine Forecasting Center continued to issue an orange alert for sea waves and a blue alert for storm surges this afternoon. Vessels operating in the above-mentioned sea areas are advised to pay attention to safety, and relevant coastal units are requested to take precautions against waves.
