Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to the Chongqing Social Development Promotion Association on the 6th, the organization signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Lao National Petroleum Company in Chongqing on the 5th. Both parties will leverage their respective strengths to jointly promote the construction of a national-level "Digital Petroleum" energy platform in Laos.
This platform will improve the efficiency and transparency of petroleum and related energy products in storage, distribution, settlement, and services through digitalization, informatization, and systematization, providing support for upgrading Laos' energy management and service models. The project's implementation will provide strong support for the construction of the Western Land-Sea New Corridor and further expand cooperation between western China and ASEAN countries in energy-related fields.
The cooperation includes the construction and operation of the "Digital Petroleum" integrated service platform, the promotion of the "Digital Petroleum" virtual oil depot model, and the issuance and management of "Digital Petroleum Cards" and related digital energy vouchers. Simultaneously, both parties will gradually promote the construction and operation of physical oil depots, gas stations, charging stations, and related energy infrastructure as conditions mature.
The Lao National Oil Company stated that Laos is currently actively promoting the digital transformation of its energy sector and hopes to leverage this cooperation to introduce mature experience and technological solutions, facilitating the project's rapid implementation and achieving mutual benefit.
Liu Faming, President of the Chongqing Social Development Promotion Association, stated that this project is a concrete action by Chongqing to participate in the Belt and Road Initiative and deepen practical cooperation with ASEAN countries.
