Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The "Wu Ma Cha Chun Lai Wan Fu Xi Pian Zhen" 2026 Spring Festival series of cultural activities, hosted by the Haidian District Culture and Tourism Bureau of Beijing and organized by the Sanshan Wuyuan Cultural and Art Center, was recently held in Beijing. Art performances, gift-giving ceremonies, calligraphy and painting to welcome the spring, intangible cultural heritage experiences, immersive garden tours… a series of cultural interactions brought the festive atmosphere to the doorsteps of citizens.
Focusing on key groups such as the elderly and children, the Spring Festival series of cultural activities visited the Beijing Children's Welfare Institute and the Haidian District Sijiqing Nursing Home. Magic shows, operas, crosstalk, songs and dances, and poetry recitations were performed in turn. Interactive activities with the Three Gods of Fortune, Prosperity, and Longevity were held, and customized lucky bags containing stationery, sachets, and wooden combs were distributed, showing respect and warmth to the elderly and bringing joy and surprises to children.
The Spring Festival blessing activities took place in various public cultural spaces in Haidian District. Calligraphers wielded their brushes, creating couplets and "Fu" (福, meaning good fortune) characters, conveying New Year's blessings through their calligraphy. The intangible cultural heritage handicraft area was bustling with activity, offering hands-on experiences such as face painting, dough sculpting, and Song brocade making, allowing visitors to touch the fabric of traditional culture through creative creation.
As the final stop of this series of Spring Festival cultural activities, the Sanshan Wuyuan Cultural and Art Center transformed into a Spring Festival garden party from February 17th to 18th, bringing traditional New Year customs to a modern public cultural space. Folk music, traditional opera, and dance performances were staged in succession, creating a series of exciting moments; NPCs representing the God of Wealth and fairies paraded around distributing blessings, offering continuous surprises; traditional games and the "Search for the Golden Horse" photo activity attracted enthusiastic participation from citizens. The concurrently opened "Mountains and Rivers, Galloping Horses in the Imperial Garden" horse-themed Chinese painting exhibition and "Mountains and Rivers Connecting the City" Haidian historical relics exhibition depicted the spirit of the horse through painting and narrated the cultural heritage of Haidian through cultural relics.
A representative from the organizers stated that this series of Spring Festival activities is based on multi-space collaboration and multi-content integration, covering the festive needs of different ages and groups, allowing citizens to understand excellent traditional Chinese culture through immersive experiences, and letting the festive atmosphere and humanistic care permeate their hearts.
