Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Macao Government Tourism Office is launching three "Golden Roc Soars, Joyful Spring Festival" 2026 drone fireworks displays during the Spring Festival. The second display will be held on February 23 (the seventh day of the Lunar New Year) at 9 pm, showcasing the city's vitality through a "tourism + event" model, adding festive cheer and further boosting Macao's nighttime economy.
This drone fireworks display features a "human-machine integration" concept, creating an immersive audio-visual feast for citizens and tourists. The first display was held on February 19 (the third day of the Lunar New Year). The second display, approximately 15 minutes long, will be held as scheduled on the sea opposite the Macao Tower, coinciding with "Renri" (the seventh day of the first lunar month), bringing joy and good health to citizens and tourists with dazzling lights and shadows. The third display is scheduled for March 3 (the fifteenth day of the first lunar month) at 9 pm, celebrating the Lantern Festival with the public.

The Macau Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has specially recommended six optimal viewing spots for the fireworks display: Nam Van Lakeside, the waterfront area from the Lotus Garden to the Statue of Kun Iam on Avenida Dr. Sun Yat-Sen, Avenida de Sargues (next to the Mandarin Oriental, Macau), the Macau Science Center seawall, Lakeside Road (next to the YOHO! Treasure Island Hotel), and Avenida da Oceano in Taipa. All these locations are equipped with sound systems to play the background music simultaneously, creating a festive atmosphere for a dual audio-visual experience. To facilitate the smooth running of the display, temporary traffic arrangements will be implemented in the Macau Tower and Avenida da Oceano area on the day of the performance. For details, please visit the Macau Transport Bureau website (www.dsat.gov.mo).
In addition to the fireworks display, the "Happiness Plus 'Malaysia' New Port" neighborhood-themed activities will also be launched simultaneously, running until March 1st, in the area from Rua de Guangzhou to Rua de Beijing in the New Port area. The event combines the Lunar New Year and Valentine's Day, enhancing the cultural and tourism atmosphere and attractiveness of the neighborhood through the installation of unique festive installations. This aims to guide foot traffic into the community, stimulate consumption, and achieve a positive interaction between tourism promotion and community development. The event collaborates with merchants in the New Port area and numerous comprehensive tourism and leisure enterprises, offering exclusive discounts and benefits, as well as a variety of gifts including star-rated hotel accommodations, restaurant vouchers, and movie tickets. This comprehensive approach aims to revitalize tourism consumption in the New Port area. For event details, please visit the designated page: https://zapegallopgala.vangou.com/index.html.
