Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The "Red Changdu, Colorful Encounters in Tianjin" 2026 Changdu Cultural Tourism Promotion Event was launched on the 1st at Impression City Plaza in Heping District, Tianjin. The five-day event will showcase the natural scenery and Kham culture of Changdu, Tibet, through cultural tourism resource promotion, intangible cultural heritage song and dance performances, specialty product exhibitions, themed photography exhibitions, and drone shows.

During the event, the Changdu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism signed strategic cooperation agreements with four travel agencies, including Tianjin International Travel Service, to jointly develop high-quality routes and share tourist markets; and signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Tianjin Song and Dance Theater to deepen cooperation in areas such as repertoire creation, talent training, and intangible cultural heritage performances.

At the launch ceremony, Changdu's cultural tourism promotion ambassador systematically promoted high-quality tourism routes, including ecological sightseeing, cultural study tours, and self-driving off-road tours, focusing on the city's three key features: "Eastern Gateway to Tibet," "Birthplace of Kham Culture," and "The Place Where the First Five-Starred Red Flag Was Raised in Tibet." At the event, the "2026 Changdu Tourism Incentive Measures" were released, offering preferential policies to encourage cultural and tourism enterprises from Tianjin and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region to expand into the Changdu market and promote tourism.

A series of national-level intangible cultural heritage song and dance performances were staged, with the bold dances and Tibetan costumes bringing the highland charm to the citizens. In the agricultural products and handicrafts exhibition area, specialty products from Karuo District, Jiangda County, Gongjue County, and Dingqing County, including highland barley products, cordyceps, yak jerky, and Tibetan incense, were showcased, attracting many citizens to stop and purchase, experiencing the "taste of the highland." The "Impression of Kham, Mysterious Changdu" themed photography exhibition featured 40 works showcasing the landscapes of eastern Tibet, such as Ranwu Lake, Laigu Glacier, and Mangkang Ancient Salt Fields, becoming a highlight of the event.

As a warm-up for the promotional activities, on the evening of April 30th, a drone flight performance themed "Striving for a New Tianjin City, Tianjin and Changdu as One Family" was staged at the Tianjin Cultural Center. A formation of a thousand drones drew patterns of landmarks such as the Tianjin Eye and the Lancang River Tianjin Square in Changdu, showcasing the shared vision of development between Tianjin and Changdu.

It is reported that on the afternoon of May 3, a cultural tourism promotion and intangible cultural heritage song and dance performance in Changdu, Tibet, will also be held at Nankai Joy City, featuring another round of featured tour routes and Kham song and dance performances.

This event was jointly organized by the Tianjin Municipal Front Command for Supporting Tibet and the Changdu Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism. (End)
