Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – At a press conference held on March 15th, 2026, the official website of the Tibet Autonomous Region announced the following information regarding the upcoming "3.15" International Consumer Rights Day. In 2025, the region's market supervision system, relying on the 12315 platform, established a comprehensive consumer rights protection network, handling 23,300 consumer complaints and reports throughout the year, recovering 11.3482 million yuan (RMB) in economic losses for consumers.

Jiang Yousheng, a second-level inspector of the Tibet Autonomous Region Market Supervision Administration, explained that in terms of ensuring smooth channels for consumer rights protection, the market supervision system focused on building a customer-centric 12315 brand. The 12315 hotline remained open, responding promptly and accurately to complaints, handling consumer disputes in a standardized manner, ensuring that every case was addressed and every issue received a response. In 2025, the connection rate of the 12315 hotline in Tibet remained above 95%, ranking among the top in the country. Market supervision departments at all levels throughout the region accepted and properly handled various consumer complaints and reports in accordance with the law, achieving a mediation success rate of 72%, 17 percentage points higher than the national average.

Jiang Yousheng stated that the Tibet Autonomous Region, relying on the national 12315 platform, has integrated six major channels—hotline, internet, app, mini-program, and in-person complaints—forming a dual-track system of telephone acceptance and online platforms, achieving full intelligent service coverage for expressing consumer demands.

The press conference also introduced that in 2025, the market supervision departments throughout Tibet will resolutely implement the "strictest standards" for food safety, always prioritizing "food safety" in market supervision and enforcement, maintaining a high-pressure stance against food-related violations, and tightening the "golden hoop" of food supervision.

In 2025, the Tibet Autonomous Region investigated and prosecuted 480 cases of food safety violations, involving a total value of 1.1762 million yuan and fines and confiscations amounting to 3.0993 million yuan. A comprehensive investigation of risks and hidden dangers in the food production process was conducted, with special campaigns targeting prominent issues in meat products, food additives, and edible vegetable oils. 852 potential risks and hidden dangers were identified, 151 cases were investigated and prosecuted, and fines and confiscations totaled 1.6591 million yuan. Special campaigns were launched to regulate school food and food delivery platforms, identifying and rectifying 1,485 food safety issues on campuses, and investigating and prosecuting 9 cases of illegal activities by food delivery platforms, with fines and confiscations totaling 125,000 yuan. Furthermore, regarding expired food and counterfeit products in rural and pastoral areas, market supervision departments adhered to a dual approach of source control and end-user management, using law enforcement as the main tool to create a high-pressure deterrent against the production and sale of counterfeit goods. 123 cases were investigated and prosecuted, 3,316.48 kilograms of counterfeit and substandard food were seized, and fines and confiscations totaled 1.2103 million yuan.
