Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, a working group from the Samye Monastery Management Committee in Shannan City, Tibet Autonomous Region, visited Danjielin Monastery in the area to conduct a special lecture activity on "Studying Regulations, Abiding by Precepts, Emphasizing Cultivation, and Building a Positive Image." The aim was to guide monks, incense masters, and related personnel to unify their thinking, strengthen their sense of responsibility, and contribute to the harmonious, stable, and healthy development of the religious field.

The working group pointed out that "Studying Regulations, Abiding by Precepts, Emphasizing Cultivation, and Building a Positive Image" are core measures for promoting the healthy inheritance of religion and strengthening the self-construction of the religious community. Among these, "Studying Regulations" is the prerequisite for carrying out all religious activities. Religious personnel are first and foremost citizens of the country and must firmly establish the concept that "national law is greater than religious rules." They must proactively and systematically study laws and regulations such as the *Constitution of the People's Republic of China* and the *Regulations on Religious Affairs*, integrating the study, understanding, abiding by, and application of the law into their daily practice and the entire process of monastery affairs. "Upholding the precepts" is the foundation of religious life. Monks must treat the precepts with reverence and uphold them with diligent practice, strictly adhering to the rules and regulations, resolutely rejecting extravagance, waste, and hedonism, and maintaining a "zero-tolerance" policy towards violations. "Cultivating oneself" is an inherent requirement for religious personnel to improve their own qualities. This involves not only deeply studying religious classics and exploring the positive connotations of benevolence, kindness, and integrity within doctrines and regulations, refining religious knowledge and elevating spiritual境界 (realm/state), but also cultivating moral character, striving to become qualified religious personnel who are "politically reliable, religiously accomplished, morally respected, and effective in critical moments."

The working group emphasized that monks should take this special lecture as an opportunity to transform the learning outcomes into practical results, thoroughly examine their own shortcomings against the requirements, refine rectification measures, clarify the direction of their efforts, and ensure that the special education is effectively implemented. The Samye Monastery Management Committee will continue to strengthen guidance and supervision, improve long-term mechanisms, and promote the normalization and institutionalization of special education programs. It will guide religious figures to remember their responsibilities and missions, remain true to their original aspirations, and contribute to the healthy inheritance of religion and the promotion of social harmony and stability.
