Cambodia repatriated 428 foreign nationals suspected of violating immigration laws in accordance with the law.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On February 3, 2026, the Cambodian General Department of Immigration issued an official statement saying that, under the unified command of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sok Sokha and other senior officials of the Ministry of the Interior, the Director General of the General Department of Immigration, Song Vysna, issued an execution order to repatriate 428 foreign nationals suspected of violating immigration laws.

  According to the General Department of Immigration's statement, the 428 foreign nationals repatriated came from eight countries, including 401 Chinese nationals and the remaining 27 from Indonesia, Bangladesh, South Korea, Pakistan, Uganda, Nigeria, and India.

  The statement indicated that these individuals were deported by the authorities for violating Cambodia's current Immigration Law and related regulations. The main violations included illegal entry, illegal residence, and illegal employment.

  Currently, all those involved have been escorted by immigration officials and repatriated in batches through Dr. Choeng International Airport to their respective countries.

  In recent years, the Cambodian government has continuously strengthened routine supervision of foreigners' entry and exit and residence in Cambodia. The General Department of Immigration emphasized that this large-scale repatriation operation once again demonstrates the Cambodian authorities' firm resolve to severely crack down on illegal entry and employment, and to maintain public order.

  The Cambodian government reiterated that it will continue to strictly adhere to legal procedures, ensuring transparency and the rule of law in passport, visa, and residency reviews. All foreign nationals in Cambodia must strictly abide by local laws and regulations and conduct their activities in accordance with the law.
