  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of April 6th, the first session of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam was held in Hanoi. Tran Thanh Man, a delegate to the 16th National Assembly, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and former Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, was elected Chairman of the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam.

  At the meeting, Le Quang Manh, Secretary-General of the National Assembly and Director of the National Assembly Office, first read out the draft resolution on the election of the Chairman of the 16th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. The draft resolution clearly stated that, in accordance with the Constitution of Vietnam, relevant laws, and the vote count, the National Assembly decided to elect Comrade Tran Thanh Man, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, former Chairman of the 15th National Assembly, and delegate to the 16th National Assembly, as Chairman of the 16th National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

  Through on-site voting, all 491 National Assembly delegates present cast their votes in favor, and the National Assembly formally adopted the resolution to elect Comrade Tran Thanh Man as Chairman of the 16th National Assembly.

  Following this, newly elected National Assembly Chairperson Tran Thanh Man, under the solemn golden star flag, solemnly swore an oath to the National Assembly, the nation's voters, and compatriots: to be absolutely loyal to the Fatherland, the people, and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; to devote himself wholeheartedly to fulfilling the tasks entrusted to him by the Party, the State, and the people; and to formally assume the duties of National Assembly Chairperson.

  Public information shows that Comrade Tran Thanh Man was born in 1962 in Thanh Xuan Commune, Can Tho City. He holds a doctorate in economics and a bachelor's degree in political science. He has extensive experience, having served as an alternate member of the 10th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, a member of the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th Central Committees, a secretary of the 12th Central Committee Secretariat, and a member of the 13th and 14th Central Committee Politburo. He was also consecutively elected as a delegate to the 13th, 14th, 15th, and 16th National Assembly. He currently serves as a member of the Politburo of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the National Assembly Party Group, and Chairperson of the National Assembly.
