
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com), February 28th – Vietnamese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Pham Thu Hang answered reporters' questions on February 28th regarding the escalating tensions in the Middle East, clarifying Vietnam's position and informing them of arrangements for the safety of Vietnamese citizens in the region.
Pham Thu Hang stated that Vietnam is deeply concerned about the escalating conflict and increasingly complex situation in the Middle East, pointing out that the current situation seriously threatens the lives of local people and impacts regional and global peace and stability.
Vietnam calls on all parties concerned to exercise maximum restraint, immediately cease all actions that escalate tensions, and effectively protect the safety of civilians and critical infrastructure; to adhere to peaceful means of resolving differences, strictly abide by international law, the UN Charter, and relevant UN resolutions, respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all countries, and create favorable conditions for promoting peace negotiations that guarantee regional and global security, tranquility, peace, and stability.
In response to the evolving regional situation, the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and relevant domestic agencies have instructed Vietnamese representative offices in Iran and Israel to closely coordinate with domestic departments, representative offices in neighboring regions, relevant agencies in host countries, and diplomatic missions to continuously monitor developments and take necessary measures to ensure the safety of Vietnamese citizens and overseas representative offices.
According to the latest information from Vietnamese representative offices in Israel and Iran, all Vietnamese citizens in these regions are currently safe and sound.
The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reminds its citizens: Do not travel to Iran or Israel at this time; avoid non-essential travel to neighboring regions affected by the conflict. Vietnamese citizens in Iran, Israel, and surrounding conflict-affected areas should maintain open communication, pay close attention to information released by Vietnamese representative offices in these countries, and strictly abide by the travel regulations of the host countries and relevant warnings from the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
