
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of February 28th, the Vietnamese Navy held a ceremony in Haiphong City to award the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces." To Lam, General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Secretary of the Central Military Commission, attended and delivered a guiding speech, awarding medals to the Navy on site.
To Lam pointed out that for over 70 years, under the leadership of the Party and with the support of the people nationwide, the Vietnamese People's Navy has continuously developed and grown stronger, successfully completing combat, training, combat readiness, production, and international missions, achieving numerous outstanding results.
He put forward the following work requirements for the Navy: First, thoroughly implement the Party's military and defense line and national laws, accurately analyze the situation, and offer suggestions for safeguarding island sovereignty and maintaining maritime peace and stability. Second, strive towards a lean, efficient, and powerful navy, building a revolutionary, standardized, elite, and modernized navy, improving training and combat readiness levels, developing naval warfare tactics adapted to the national defense posture, coordinating national defense, security, diplomacy, and maritime economic development, consolidating national defense and the "people's morale" at sea, and deepening international military cooperation. Third, we will comprehensively strengthen the ideological and political work, organizational style, and cadre team building of the Navy Party Committee, promote the spirit of "Uncle Ho's Army - Navy Soldiers," build a high-quality cadre team, guarantee the living standards of officers and soldiers, and resolutely resist corruption, negativity, and undesirable internal tendencies.
To Lam affirmed the strong support provided by the Central Military Commission, the Ministry of National Defense, and various departments and localities for the Navy's development. At the ceremony, To Lam awarded the Navy of the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" for the third time.
