Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of February 25th, the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee convened an important national meeting in Hanoi to specifically study and deploy the implementation of the Politburo Resolutions 79-NQ/TW on the Development of the State-Owned Economy and 80-NQ/TW on the Development of Vietnamese Culture.
The meeting was held in a hybrid online and offline format. The main venue was located in the Yen Hong Hall of the National Assembly Building, with 27,284 branch venues set up in various central government agencies, provinces (cities, special districts), communes (wards), as well as the military, public security system, and related enterprises. More than 2 million delegates participated, demonstrating a wide coverage.
General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee To Lam attended the meeting and delivered an important guiding speech. Also present were: Luong Cuong, member of the 13th Politburo and President; Pham Minh Chinh, member of the 13th Politburo and Prime Minister; Tran Thanh Man, member of the Politburo and Chairman of the National Assembly; and Tran Cam Tu, member of the Politburo and Standing Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee. Former Politburo member and former President Truong Tan Sang attended the meeting at the Tay Ninh provincial branch venue, as did former Politburo member and former National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung.
According to the meeting agenda, delegates heard three thematic reports: Trinh Van Quyet, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee, and Head of the Central Propaganda, Education and Mass Mobilization Department, presented an interpretation of the core points of Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW (Development of Vietnamese Culture) issued on January 7, 2026; Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Politburo member, Secretary of the Central Committee, and Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Department, presented an interpretation of the core points of Resolution No. 79-NQ/TW (Development of the State-Owned Economy) issued on January 6, 2026; and Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh presented a thematic report on the action plan for implementing the two resolutions.
General Secretary To Lam delivered an important guiding speech at the meeting, outlining the direction and requirements for the implementation of the two resolutions. Minister Trinh Van Quyet subsequently gave supplementary remarks on implementing General Secretary To Lam's guidance.
