Election preparations in Tay Ninh province, Vietnam, are progressing smoothly, and the candidate list structure complies

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reported on February 23 that the Election Committee of Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam, held its fourth meeting to comprehensively assess the preparations for the elections of delegates to the 16th National Assembly and delegates to People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

  According to a report from the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the province has completed its third consultative meeting and finalized the list of candidates eligible to run. Among them, there are 19 candidates for delegates to the 16th National Assembly: 10 women (52.63%), 4 young people (21.05%), 1 non-Party member (5.26%), and 6 re-elected candidates (31.58%). There are 135 candidates for the Provincial People's Council seats for the 2026-2031 term: 73 women (54.07%), 44 youths (32.59%), 23 non-Party members (17.04%), 45 re-elected (33.33%), 2 from ethnic minorities (1.48%), and 6 religious figures (4.44%). The report indicates that the structure and composition of the candidate list comply with relevant central government regulations.

  To ensure the standardized conduct of the election campaign, the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee has drafted a voter meeting plan: National Assembly candidates will meet with voters from February 27 to March 6; Provincial People's Council candidates will meet with voters from March 9 to 12. On February 24, the Standing Committee of the Tay Ninh Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also organized a special training session to guide candidates in drafting and explaining their campaign platforms, improving their campaign capabilities. Currently, all election preparations in Xining Province are progressing smoothly according to plan. The Provincial Election Committee has guided the township-level election committees to improve candidate files and update the consultation lists in the election information management system. Voter evaluations in candidates' places of residence, trust surveys, and the compilation and public announcement of voter lists have all been completed on schedule. Election publicity work is being carried out simultaneously, with grassroots publicity outlets and local media increasing their coverage to broadly build social consensus.

  The overall social and political situation in the province is stable, public order is good, and no complex situations related to the election have occurred. No complaints or reports concerning the election work or candidates have been received so far.

  As of February 20, all preparations for the elections of delegates to the National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels in Xining Province are basically complete, and the conditions are in place to legally proceed to the next stage of work. (End)
