  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The military command of Kim Lien commune, Nghe An province, Vietnam, in conjunction with the provincial military command's engineering forces, recently successfully detonated and destroyed a 250-kilogram war-related bomb with its fuse intact, effectively ensuring the safety of local residents' lives and property.

  It is reported that on January 15th, local residents discovered the suspected war-related bomb about 20 meters from the shore while fishing near the Sông Lam River. Upon discovery, the residents immediately reported it to local authorities, preventing an accident.

  Upon receiving the report, the Kim Lien commune military command acted swiftly, immediately dispatching personnel to the scene to verify the situation and sealing off the area where the bomb was found, strictly prohibiting unauthorized personnel from approaching, while awaiting the arrival of professional forces from the provincial military command for disposal.

  After verification by professionals, the bomb was identified as an MK-82 high-explosive bomb, 30 centimeters in diameter, 140 centimeters in length, and weighing approximately 250 kilograms. It was a remnant of wartime, and its fuse remained intact, posing a significant safety hazard.

  Subsequently, engineering personnel from the Nghe An Provincial Military Command arrived at the scene. They first professionally disabled the bomb's fuse, and then, together with staff from the Kim Lien Commune Military Command, retrieved the bomb ashore and transported it to a designated safe area. Finally, the engineering team successfully detonated and destroyed the bomb.
