Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On January 16, Tran Cam Tu, member of the Politburo and Permanent Secretary of the Secretariat of the Communist Party of Vietnam, attended the launch ceremony of the "Propaganda and Popular Movement" mobile application (TGDV App) in Hanoi, attaching great importance to its launch and outlining work requirements.
According to reports, the "Propaganda and Popular Movement" information system, as a unified official information platform for propaganda and popular movement departments, has two core functions: firstly, providing the public with a channel to verify information on the Party's line, principles, and policies, helping them accurately understand policies; and secondly, building a convenient bridge for the government to promptly grasp public opinion and listen to public sentiment. The application is both user-friendly and intelligent, providing readily accessible news and information, featuring a built-in AI virtual assistant for quick Q&A, and capable of pushing personalized content to different user groups.
This application, closely aligned with the core responsibilities of propaganda and pro-democracy mobilization departments, focuses on four key objectives: policy interpretation, public opinion listening, consensus building, and social harmony promotion. It effectively reduces policy misunderstandings and unnecessary complaints, while enhancing the public's ability to identify misinformation and protect themselves. It plays a crucial role in cultivating digital citizen literacy and increasing public trust in the Party and the state.
At the ceremony, Chen Jinxiu emphasized that the launch of the "Propaganda and Pro-Democracy Mobilization" application is not merely a technological deployment, but a concrete practice of the Party's reform of leadership methods and optimization of propaganda and education work in the digital age, possessing significant strategic importance.
He explicitly demanded that the application's operation be deeply integrated with the reform of propaganda and pro-democracy mobilization work methods, abandoning the traditional one-way information dissemination model, strengthening interactive communication, public opinion listening, and dialogue, and always prioritizing the building of social consensus. Simultaneously, it is essential to uphold the accuracy, timeliness, depth, and persuasiveness of information content, closely integrating it with the realities of national development and the needs of the people's production and lives; information updates must be given top priority, as this is crucial to the application's credibility and influence.
Chen Jinxiu proposed that the Central Propaganda and Education and Democracy Movement Department and relevant agencies should continuously optimize and improve the application to ensure its coordinated, user-friendly, secure, reliable, and sustainable operation. To guarantee the application's effectiveness, he suggested that the Central Propaganda and Education and Democracy Movement Department, in conjunction with the Digital Transformation Steering Committees of various central government agencies, establish and improve a regular performance evaluation indicator system.
"Our evaluation criteria should not be the number of installations, but rather the speed of response to hot issues, the satisfaction rate of the public after they raise concerns, and the actual guiding ability of information in cyberspace," Chen Jinxiu emphasized. He stressed that the operation of all applications must strictly adhere to the guiding principles of General Secretary Xi Jinping, always prioritizing practical results. (End)
