At the working meeting, Bui Quang Huy highly praised the Phu Tho Provincial Election Committee for its proactive approach and sense of responsibility in advancing various tasks related to election preparation. He pointed out that Phu Tho Province has recently strictly adhered to legal regulations, promptly established and issued a system of guiding documents, and coordinated the work at all stages, resulting in a significant improvement in the task completion rate. The election information dissemination work has been diverse and tailored to local conditions. To date, all basic tasks have been steadily implemented according to schedule, fully demonstrating the rigorous and pragmatic work style of the local political system.
Pei Quang Hue put forward clear requirements for the follow-up preparatory work in Phu Tho province: First, concentrate efforts on strictly implementing the three-stage inspection and supervision plan to ensure precise alignment with key stages of the election process; second, strengthen the verification of voter changes, focusing on information on special groups of voters to ensure data accuracy; third, efficiently handle petitions, appeals, and suggestions, strictly preventing the emergence of "hotspot" issues that could affect the election environment; fourth, promote training work in stages and with meticulous attention to detail, closely aligning with various specific election tasks; fifth, prioritize maintaining public order and social security, and fully guarantee the democratic, lawful, safe, and smooth conduct of elections at all levels.
According to the report of the Phu Tho Provincial Election Committee, in order to comprehensively coordinate and promote relevant election work, the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee has issued a decision to establish a Steering Committee for the Election of Deputies to the 16th National Assembly and Deputies to People's Councils at All Levels in Phu Tho Province for the 2026-2031 Term. This committee consists of 27 members, with the Provincial Party Secretary serving as the chairperson.
Furthermore, the results of the first consultative meeting of the 16th National Assembly representatives show that 17 National Assembly representatives will be elected, including 9 recommended by local authorities and 8 recommended by the central government. The first consultative meeting of the Provincial People's Council representatives for the 2026-2031 term determined that 85 Provincial People's Council representatives will be elected, with the specific allocation as follows: 52 for provincial government agencies, 30 for commune-level administrative units, and 3 for other sectors.
