Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – To capitalize on the peak tourist season at the end of the year and attract visitors during the 2026 New Year's Day and Lunar New Year holidays, numerous tourist attractions and areas across Vietnam are accelerating environmental improvements, product upgrades, and service enhancements, entering the final sprint stage of holiday preparations.

In the Mekong Delta region, upgrades and renovations of several tourist areas have been fully launched. Members of the cooperative in the Kun Son Tourist Area of Can Tho City are working together, not only pruning and maintaining orchards on the island, repairing and decorating the stage for traditional folk singing performances, but also cleaning the goby ponds and archerfish areas, and expanding the traditional pastry-making experience area. Le Thi Thi Ti, representative of the Kun Son Agricultural Tourism Cooperative in Can Tho City, revealed that in addition to optimizing existing services, the cooperative will also launch new tourism products such as a "duck massage" experience and creative rice-based delicacies, bringing fresh experiences to tourists. The Ca Mau Cape National Tourist Area in Ca Mau province is also undergoing intensive renovations, with key landmarks such as the GPS 0001 national coordinate marker, the Hanoi flagpole, and ship markers being repainted to welcome tourists with a brand-new look.

In the Central Highlands region, the festive atmosphere has already begun, with various special events ready to go. The Lam Dong province cultural department will simultaneously host a "New Year's Countdown 2026" event on the evening of December 31st at three key venues: Lam Garden Square in Da Lat City, the Provincial Cultural and Art Exhibition Theatre, and the West Lam Dong area. High-tech light shows, 3D LED performances, DJ performances, artistic fireworks displays, and the New Year's countdown will take place in succession, creating a visual and auditory feast for citizens and tourists. Quang Ngai province's Mong Dang region plans to launch the "Pink in the Vast Forest" cultural tourism week from January 1st to 4th, 2026. Currently, the decorations and landscaping of Cherry Blossom Road, the Central Square, Notre Dame Cathedral, the Bell Tower, and 37 residential areas have been completed. Zan Van Vuong, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated that the city will hold its "2026 New Year" celebrations in an open format, extending the activities to multiple public space axes to maximize convenience for citizens and tourists. The Bao Long Tourist Area in Tran Bien Ward, Dong Nai Province, has invested over 18,000 pots of various flowers to beautify the environment and will also set up affordable local food stalls with rural market characteristics during the New Year's holiday to enrich the tourist experience.

While actively preparing to welcome guests, many areas are also simultaneously strengthening tourism market supervision to ensure tourist safety and a positive experience. Le Van Dung, Director of Ca Mau National Park, explained that the park is working with relevant departments to conduct comprehensive inspections and provide guidance to businesses and service providers engaged in ecotourism and community tourism within the park. They are explicitly required to strictly adhere to regulations regarding food safety, product traceability, and epidemic prevention and control, resolutely preventing commercial fraud and counterfeit goods, while also standardizing service quality and price management, ensuring transparent pricing and honest operation, and severely cracking down on soliciting customers and coercive consumption. The People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Region, An Giang Province, issued a document on December 30 to businesses and tourism service operators within its jurisdiction, emphasizing the need to maintain industry reputation and improve service quality during the peak tourist season. The document strictly prohibits practices such as overcharging tourists and failing to clearly display ticket and service fees, which damage the tourist experience and the image of Phu Quoc Island. The Hue City tourism sector not only recommended that relevant departments strengthen inspections to ensure a safe tourism environment but also required all accommodation and catering businesses to develop comprehensive reception plans. Furthermore, the Hue City Tourism Department, in conjunction with 35 travel agencies nationwide, organized a delegation to conduct on-site inspections of local tourism potential and rural tourism products, preparing for attracting tourists during the peak season.
