
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 18th, a delegation from four border posts in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam, and a delegation from the Yunnan Provincial Entry-Exit Border Inspection Station of China held a meeting at the Kim Thanh No. 2 Highway Border Crossing in Lao Cai Ward, Lao Cai Province, to discuss border control operations for the third quarter of 2025.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to maintain effective cooperation mechanisms including business meetings, correspondence, hotlines, liaison officers, and joint border patrols; strengthen information exchange; share information related to entry-exit management and control; and provide leads and information on organized crime groups, such as illegal transportation of people, illegal carrying of funds and precious metals across borders, smuggling, and commercial fraud.
Both sides agreed to actively support various exchange activities, such as the Vietnam-China cross-border Spring Festival Gala, the "Two Countries, One Track" cycling competition, trade exhibitions, and other key business events, and to provide convenient customs clearance conditions for entrepreneurs, artists, civil servants, and official vehicles from both countries. They also agreed to actively promote the official opening of the Mang Jiang-Qiao Tou border crossing, the upgrading of the Pa Sa-Ba Sa local border crossing, and support the construction of a cross-border standard intermodal railway project. Furthermore, both sides agreed to strengthen cultural, artistic, and sports exchanges during important festivals to enhance solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding. (End)
