Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – In his address, Vietnamese Ambassador to China Pham Thanh Binh stated that the establishment of a Consulate General in Chongqing fully reflects the Vietnamese Party and State's consistent commitment to valuing and continuously consolidating and developing friendly cooperative relations with China, and promoting in-depth exchanges and cooperation between local governments of the two countries.
In recent years, local cooperation between Vietnam and China has become increasingly active, pragmatic, and efficient, becoming a highlight of bilateral relations. More and more Vietnamese localities have established and deepened friendly cooperative relations with Chongqing Municipality and Sichuan Province, achieving new progress and yielding new results in areas such as transportation and logistics, high-tech agriculture, culture and tourism, and education and people-to-people exchanges.
Hu Henghua, Deputy Secretary of the Chongqing Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chongqing, and Long Zhou, Director-General of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, emphasized that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China and the Chongqing Municipal Government will closely cooperate to provide favorable conditions for the Consulate General to successfully fulfill its mission as a bridge for cooperation and exchanges between Chongqing, Sichuan, and various parts of Vietnam.
Bui Nguyen Long, Consul General of Vietnam in Chongqing, emphasized that the opening of the Consulate General in Chongqing will strive to promote mutual visits and cooperation between various departments and localities of both sides, strengthen practical cooperation in trade and investment, culture, tourism, education and training, and people-to-people exchanges, and continuously enhance understanding, mutual trust, and friendship between the people of the two countries.
At the opening ceremony, designer Le Anh Tuan showcased his Ao Dai collection, conveying Vietnam's national pride and its aspirations for building a prosperous and strong nation in the new era to Chinese and international friends. (End)
