At the launch ceremony, performances of Ningxia folk songs and war drums, showcasing local characteristics, created a strong festive atmosphere. Two hundred young athletes competed in a breakdancing invitational tournament, becoming one of the highlights of the event.
Simultaneously, a number of supporting activities, including sports performances, fun sports, and free physical fitness testing, were held concurrently, balancing fun and affordability to effectively enhance public participation and sense of gain. Regarding consumer benefits, the event partnered with sports brands in shopping malls to offer discount coupons, and participants could receive a "sports consumption gift pack." With their event tickets, they could also enjoy exclusive discounts at 857 commercial enterprises in Yinchuan.
According to reports, to create a joyful and peaceful festive atmosphere, the Ningxia Sports Bureau has coordinated 56 sports events, which are expected to boost the sales of related commercial districts and scenic spots by 25% year-on-year.
The main venue in Yinchuan hosted a total of 17 events. The "Sports in Commercial Districts" section featured 6 events, including the Ningxia Breakdance Invitational Tournament, the Mass Badminton Challenge, and the Youth Boxing Competition, attracting 1,800 participants and reaching 23,000 people. The "Sports in Scenic Areas" section featured 3 special events, including the 2026 Yellow River Basin Cross-Country Skiing Invitational Tournament, the New Year's Walking Tournament, and the Helan County Fun Events Competition, attracting a total of 1,700 participants and reaching 20,000 people. The "Sports in Streets" section included 8 key events, such as the 2026 China Women's Basketball Team Warm-up Tournament in Yinchuan, the Youth 4V4 Basketball Tournament, and the Swimming Invitational Tournament, covering 30,000 participants and reaching 70,000 people.
