Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to the State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power Company, Xinjiang's power grid achieved a total electricity sales volume of 59.666 billion kilowatt-hours in the first quarter of 2026, a year-on-year increase of 10.48%, setting a new record for the same period and providing a solid power guarantee for Xinjiang's economic and social development to achieve a strong start in the first quarter of the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.

Electricity data serves as a barometer of regional economic performance. Data shows that in the first quarter, the secondary industry's electricity sales volume reached 38.397 billion kilowatt-hours, accounting for 74.37% of the total industry's electricity sales, a year-on-year increase of 15.96%, becoming a core engine driving electricity consumption growth and economic development.

From the perspective of key industries, Xinjiang's silicon photovoltaic industry continues to demonstrate its advantages, with industrial silicon and polysilicon production ranking first in the country. Driven by rising global silicon material prices, silicon-based enterprises in Xinjiang are experiencing a positive production trend and strong electricity demand. In the first quarter, 21 silicon-based enterprises in Xinjiang sold a total of 4.643 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity, a year-on-year increase of 48.31%, adding 1.512 billion kilowatt-hours and directly boosting the region's overall electricity sales growth by 2.8 percentage points.

In the field of new energy storage, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power focuses on the green transformation of energy, building an integrated service system of policy empowerment, technical support, and process optimization to fully guarantee the efficient grid connection and rapid commissioning of new energy storage projects. In the first quarter, the charging volume (electricity purchase) of independent energy storage users in the Xinjiang power grid reached 1.424 billion kilowatt-hours, a year-on-year increase of 274.35%, adding 1.044 billion kilowatt-hours. These impressive figures fully demonstrate that Xinjiang is accelerating its transformation from a major clean energy production region to a strong region in energy storage and dispatch, with a coordinated development pattern of "source, grid, and storage" rapidly taking shape, and the level of clean energy development and utilization continuously improving.

Next, State Grid Xinjiang Electric Power will continue to optimize the electricity business environment, continuously improve the level of "access to electricity" services, accurately track the power supply and demand situation, and fully guarantee various electricity needs. (End)
