Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Since 2024, Tang Dong has been working as a resident staff member of the Kashgar Regional Cultural Center in Jigedairik Village, Shule County. In the early morning snow, he visits villagers' homes to check the safety of carbon monoxide alarms and stoves, reminding them of winter warmth and travel precautions. He patiently communicates with traffic safety officers to ensure the safe and orderly lives and production of all 300+ households in the village.
As a painter by training, he has used his skills to create several murals in the village on the themes of traffic safety and traditional culture, aiming to serve as warnings and reminders, and to help villagers with his own efforts. He also participates in organizing Spring Festival cultural activities, writing couplets and organizing song and dance performances, transforming the masses from bystanders into participants and deeply embedding excellent Chinese traditional culture in their hearts. In his spare time, Tang Dong uses his paintbrush to record rural life, such as the idyllic scene of an old woman milking a cow, which has become part of his memories of his time in the village.
