Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Due to the tense situation in the Middle East, Singapore Airlines (SIA) and its low-cost carrier Scoot announced the cancellation of 26 round-trip flights from February 28 to March 7. SIA released the flight adjustment notice via a Facebook post on March 1.
According to the announcement, SIA cancelled two daily round-trip flights between Singapore and Dubai: SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai back to Singapore, totaling 16 flights (covering the entire period covered by the announcement).
Scoot has cancelled five specific flights between Singapore and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on February 28, March 2, March 3, March 5, and March 7, affecting a total of 10 flights: flight TR596 from Singapore to Jeddah and flight TR597 from Jeddah back to Singapore.
For passengers affected by the cancellations, Singapore Airlines (SIA) will offer two solutions: free rebooking on other available flights or a full refund for unused tickets. Passengers who purchased tickets directly through SIA's official channels can apply for a refund using the online assistance form; passengers who purchased tickets through travel agencies or partner airlines should contact the relevant channels directly for assistance.
SIA also reminds passengers that given the continued uncertainty in the Middle East, other flights may also be affected, and recommends checking SIA's flight status page for the latest travel information. Furthermore, the safety of passengers and staff remains Singapore Airlines' top priority. The company strongly recommends that passengers update their personal contact information through the "Manage Booking" function on the Singapore Airlines and Scoot websites, or subscribe to mobile notification services to receive timely notifications of flight changes. Singapore Airlines stated that it will continue to closely monitor developments in the Middle East and adjust its route arrangements as needed.
