
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to the Disaster Prevention and Dyke Management Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, on the afternoon of September 19th, Nguyen Van Tien, Deputy Director of the Bureau, and Pham Ngoc Mao, Deputy Director of the International Cooperation Department, represented the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development at Noi Bai International Airport to receive emergency aid supplies provided by the Singapore government to flood-stricken areas in Vietnam.
The aid supplies included: filter pumps, bottled water tanks, personal hygiene products, life blankets, and water containers. These aid supplies were transported from Changi Airport to Noi Bai Airport. It is expected that these aid supplies will be transported to Bac Kan Province on September 20th.
Since September 11th, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development has received aid supplies from numerous international organizations, disaster risk mitigation partners, and ambassadors to Vietnam from countries such as Switzerland, the United Kingdom, Australia, and India, as well as from the ASEAN Regional Humanitarian Coordination Centre (AHA), the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), and Samaritan's Purse.
In addition, after learning of the severe damage caused to Vietnam by Typhoon No. 3, leaders of Brunei, Singapore, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Norway, and other countries have sent messages of condolence to the Vietnamese Party, State, and people. (End)
