Firefighting and rescue operations in Tai Po, Hong Kong, have been completed.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) government held a press conference at approximately 3:00 PM on the 28th, stating that firefighting and rescue operations at the Hung Fuk Court fire in Tai Po were completed at 10:18 AM that morning.

  HKSAR Secretary for Security Tang Ping-keung stated that, as of now, the Hung Fuk Court fire has resulted in 128 deaths, and it is possible that more bodies may be discovered during police investigations at the scene. The condition of approximately 200 people remains unknown.

  HKSAR Fire Services Department Director Yeung Yan-kin stated that firefighting, rescue, and search operations were completed at 10:18 AM. A total of 391 fire engines, 185 ambulances, and 2,311 firefighters and paramedics were deployed in the operation. Twelve firefighters were injured, and Ho Wai-ho of the Sha Tin Fire Station died in the line of duty.
