  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that foreign film and television crews shooting on location in Thailand in 2024 have already generated 2.8 billion baht in revenue for the country. In accordance with Thailand's policies encouraging film and television production, the government has rebated a total of 509 million baht in cash to foreign production crews, and the total revenue from film and television production this year is expected to exceed 7.053 billion baht.

  Data released by the Tourism Authority of Thailand shows that foreign film and television production companies are exceptionally active in filming in Thailand, generating 2.876 billion baht in revenue so far, and creating 43,000 jobs in the Thai film and television industry and related service sectors.

  To attract foreign film and television crews to film and produce works in Thailand, the Thai government has introduced several investment incentive measures with rebates. With 22 projects currently applying for rebates, the total revenue from film and television production in 2024 is expected to exceed 7.053 billion baht. The Thai government has already rebated a total of 509 million baht.

  Thailand is one of the most active tourism destinations in ASEAN, with over 25 million international tourists visiting as of September 2024. Many countries, like Thailand, offer cash rebates or tax credits to film and television production crews; Malaysia, the Philippines, and India are examples. Thailand typically offers rebates of 15-20% of total expenditure, but the total amount does not exceed 150 million baht.

  For example, popular TV series and films such as the science fiction film *The Creator*, *SWAT* Season 6, *The Meg 2*, and *The Mother of the Bride* promote Thai tourism, highlighting Thailand's inherent potential as a filming location.
