
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 2025 International Cultural Tourism Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "Expo") opened on the 7th at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Anhui Province. The Expo, themed "Borderless Culture and Tourism, Unlimited Business Opportunities," aims to promote cross-sector integration and high-quality development of the cultural tourism industry.
According to reports, the Expo covers an exhibition area of 40,000 square meters, attracting nearly 1,000 exhibitors and over 10,000 professional buyers, covering multiple fields including cultural creativity, tourism equipment, hotels and homestays, catering, and cultural and creative products, showcasing the trend of "culture and tourism + all industries" integration.
The Expo also features over 20 supporting activities, including the 4th China Good Gifts Industry Development Forum, the Chain Brand Development Conference, and the Anhui Homestay Industry "Double Recruitment and Introduction" Promotion Conference, striving to create a comprehensive platform integrating display, negotiation, experience, and cooperation.
At the opening ceremony, industry representatives jointly issued the "Hefei Initiative for High-Quality Development of the Cultural Tourism Industry" (hereinafter referred to as the "Initiative"), proposing to comprehensively enhance the tourism experience based on nine elements: "eating, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, learning, thinking, and health." The initiative calls for joint action across the entire industry to ensure tourists "encounter beauty and gain growth" during their travels.
Ji Xiang, Deputy Director of the Anhui Provincial Government Development Research Center, believes that my country's tourism industry has entered a new era of cultural and tourism integration, upgrading from the traditional six elements of "eating, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment" to nine elements of "eating, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, entertainment, learning, thinking, and self-cultivation." This signifies a shift in the cultural and tourism industry from sightseeing consumption to high-quality development focused on cultural experiences and spiritual nourishment.
The inclusion of the three elements of "learning, thinking, and self-cultivation" is particularly noteworthy. Taking "thinking" as an example, the initiative proposes that cultural and tourism should not only be about sensory enjoyment but also about stimulating thought. Therefore, it advocates for the creation of in-depth cultural IPs, using historical sites, red tourism, philosophy and art, and personal stories to "open tourists' eyes, enlighten them, and make them happy."
As one of the important activities of the expo, the 2025 "Anhui Beauty Consumption" New Scenarios Provincial Launch Conference was held on the same day.
The organizers stated that the expo, through diverse formats such as exhibitions, forums, releases, and roadshows, has built a bridge for exchange, cooperation, and supply-demand matching for the cultural and tourism industry, and is expected to attract over 100,000 professional visitors. (over)
