Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – “Today, I would like to use five key letters to form the word ‘Probe’ to introduce Tianjin’s advantages to you.” At the Tianjin 2026 Multinational Enterprise Roundtable held on the 25th, Wang Xu, Executive Vice Mayor of Tianjin, promoted Tianjin to the world.

The first key word is Port. The port is Tianjin’s core gateway to the world and its greatest advantage in connecting the city. Wang Xu stated that Tianjin Port is the largest port in Northern China, consistently ranking among the top ten ports globally in terms of cargo throughput. In 2025, it is projected to handle 595 million tons of cargo and 24.03 million TEUs of containers, with 150 international and domestic shipping routes. The port is a valuable resource for Tianjin, serving as a window and bridge.

The second key word is River. Wang Xu said that the Haihe River is Tianjin’s mother river, its 72-kilometer course connecting the city’s history and future, shaping its quality and heritage. “The Haihe River’s night view is beautiful; the river flows through the city, making it vibrant and livable.”

The third key word is Crude Oil. Wang Xu pointed out that Tianjin's oil production reached 40.92 million tons in 2025, accounting for 19% of the national total, ranking first among all provinces in China. Tianjin has both oil fields and salt fields, and relying on these resources, the petrochemical industry has become the largest industry in Tianjin's industrial sector.

The fourth key word is "bicycle." Wang Xu stated that Tianjin has three automobile factories and is also a major production base for bicycles and electric bicycles in China. Its industrial scale and technological level have long been among the leading in the country, forming a complete industrial chain ecosystem integrating R&D, new material production, parts manufacturing, and vehicle assembly.

Data shows that in 2025, Tianjin produced 14.36 million bicycles, accounting for 52% of the national total; and 13.73 million electric bicycles, accounting for 25% of the national total. Wang Xu believes that behind this "half the country's" industrial scale lies Tianjin's mature industrial clusters, comprehensive supporting system, and strong manufacturing capabilities, which can provide full-chain industrial synergy and technical support for various manufacturing enterprises.

The fifth key word is "exhibition." A high-end, open convention and exhibition platform is an important vehicle for Tianjin to connect resources and deepen cooperation. According to reports, the National Convention and Exhibition Center (Tianjin), jointly built by the Ministry of Commerce of China and the Tianjin Municipal Government, is the largest national-level convention and exhibition complex in Northern China, with a total construction area of 1.38 million square meters and an exhibition area of 450,000 square meters.

Wang Xu said, "We are accelerating the construction of a truly 'Northern Convention and Exhibition Capital,' which will provide a platform and broad opportunities for multinational companies to showcase their brand image, connect with the Chinese market, and expand global cooperation."

He emphasized that openness is an inherent part of Tianjin's urban DNA and our unwavering development pursuit. As the gateway to the outside world in Northern China, we have always been deeply integrated into the global economic cooperation network and continuously expanded high-level opening-up. Today's roundtable discussion focuses on "Deep Integration of Technological and Industrial Innovation: Driving Forces, Mechanisms, and Paths," which is highly consistent with Tianjin's development strategy and industrial advantages. He hopes that this meeting will serve as a link to discuss win-win cooperation and jointly expand development with the guests present. (End)
