Southeast Asia Information Hub (www.dnyxxg.com) – On September 7, 2026, Mr. Chulvat Narinthrangura, Director-General of the Thailand International Cooperation Agency (TICA), held a dedicated meeting with H.E. Diego Arango Pezet, the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Panama to Thailand, to engage in in-depth discussions regarding multilateral development cooperation between the two nations.
During the meeting, the two sides held extensive consultations on the Thailand-Panama Three-Year Development Cooperation Plan (2027–2029), exchanging views and reaching a preliminary consensus on identifying and implementing priority areas for cooperation within the plan. Furthermore, they conducted a detailed review of the draft Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on development cooperation. It was established that this MOU would serve as the core framework and vital basis for comprehensive, regular development cooperation between the two countries, laying a solid foundation for the standardized and institutionalized advancement of bilateral cooperation.
Human resource development cooperation was also a key topic of the meeting. Director-General Chulvat Narinthrangura provided the Panamanian Ambassador with a detailed overview of the Annual International Training Course (AITC) and the Thailand International Postgraduate Programme (TIPP) scholarship—covering program specifics, recruitment, training, and implementation—thereby establishing a bridge for future collaboration in talent exchange and joint training initiatives.
