Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – From July 10th to 12th, the 2026 Bangkok Flight Centre Global Event was successfully held. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) provided full support for the event, which brought together over 2,000 industry elites, senior professionals, and corporate executives from the Flight Centre Tourism Group (FCTG) global network, further solidifying Thailand's core position as a preferred destination for global tourism distribution and international business meetings and exhibitions.

TAT Governor Thapane Kiatpaipur stated that this Bangkok Global Tourism Event provided Thailand with a high-quality promotional platform for high-end tourism professionals worldwide, precisely reaching the core industry group that influences international tourism destination choices. This initiative aligns perfectly with the TAT's development strategy of "value over quantity" and deeply implements the new tourism development concept of "healing as new luxury." Thailand deeply integrates health and wellness tourism with local culture, distinctive cuisine, heartwarming services, and responsible tourism principles, aiming to create immersive, high-quality cultural and tourism experiences, empower local community development, release long-term economic value, and achieve high-quality development of the cultural and tourism industry. As FCTG's flagship annual event, this year's grand gathering brought together outstanding frontline sales teams, industry consultants, corporate executives, and key business personnel from around the world. Bangkok's successful selection as the host city for this global event fully demonstrates Thailand's superior air connectivity, mature and comprehensive convention and exhibition facilities, high-standard hospitality system, and all-encompassing tourism resources. It also allows Thailand to directly engage with core tourism professionals worldwide and accurately connect with the demands of the international tourism market.

This event was spearheaded and coordinated by the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Sydney office, in collaboration with FCTG and various government and corporate partners. A high-quality attendee experience was meticulously crafted, showcasing Thailand's image as a premium cultural and tourism destination. Registration and welcome sessions were held at the Marriott Marquis Queen's Park Hotel Bangkok and the Hyatt Regency Bangkok Sukhumvit. A special intangible cultural heritage experience was featured, offering attendees a traditional Thai massage experience—listed by UNESCO in 2019—along with a variety of interactive activities, fully showcasing the charm of Thai culture.
On July 10th, the organizers hosted a sponsor networking luncheon at Baan Dusit Thani in Bangkok, bringing together over 500 FCTG global executives, international partners, and representatives from local Thai tourism enterprises. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges on cultural and tourism cooperation, resource sharing, and product innovation, showcasing Thailand's sustainable tourism offerings and building an efficient bridge for international cultural and tourism cooperation.

The main conference of this grand event officially commenced on July 11th at UOB Live, followed by a global industry awards dinner and a series of supporting activities at Impact Arena. A dedicated Flight Fest was also held at Asiatique The Riverfront, enriching the event and enhancing the attendee experience.
Furthermore, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, in collaboration with partners, meticulously planned several in-depth Bangkok city experience routes, covering distinctive areas such as Bang Ratchasima, Yaowarat Road, and Thalanoyi, and included a special itinerary for watching Muay Thai matches at the Ratchadamu Boxing Gym. All day tours are deeply integrated with the concept of responsible tourism development. A portion of the registration fees will be donated in full to the National Elephant Research Institute and the Lampang Elephant Conservation Center, both sponsored by the Royal Thai Army, to support ecological conservation and public welfare.

It is estimated that the 2026 Bangkok Flight Centre global event will generate approximately 262 million baht in direct tourism revenue for Thailand. Simultaneously, this top-tier international event will significantly enhance Thailand's brand awareness in the long-haul outbound tourism market, particularly in Australia, further deepen strategic cooperation between Thailand and leading global travel agencies, and leverage international industry channels to continuously expand Thailand's cultural and tourism influence overseas, injecting strong momentum into the long-term recovery and high-quality development of the inbound tourism market.
