Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On February 4, 2026, Chettapan Maksamphan, Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, chaired a special preparatory meeting to coordinate relevant government agencies and finalize preparations for Thailand's participation in the upcoming Second Global Anti-Fraud Summit.
Anti-fraud officials from various Thai government departments gathered at the meeting to exchange views on key issues such as aligning with the summit's core themes, focusing on international cooperation, and pathways for成果转化 (achievement transformation). They comprehensively reviewed and refined the participation plan, division of labor, and key points for speeches to ensure Thailand's efficient and pragmatic participation in the summit.

It is understood that the Second Global Anti-Fraud Summit is scheduled to be held in Vienna, Austria, from March 16 to 17, 2026, co-hosted by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Interpol, with support from the British government. The summit, with its core theme of "Building Global Consensus and Strengthening Collaborative Governance," aims to stimulate the political will of governments, international organizations, and the private sector to combat fraud, deepen international cooperation in law enforcement, promote efficient coordination among stakeholders, and build a global governance system for jointly addressing fraud crimes.

This participation is of great significance to Thailand: on the one hand, it will reaffirm its firm stance and commitment to combating fraud and cyber fraud to the international community; on the other hand, it will promote the implementation of the outcomes of the "Global Partnership on Combating Cyber Fraud," to be held in Bangkok from December 17-18, 2025—a conference co-hosted by Thailand and UNODC. The consensus and measures reached at this conference will further expand international influence and achieve broader cross-border collaboration through the Global Anti-Fraud Summit.
