Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Royal Thai Air Force announced that a military aircraft crashed this morning in a forested area of Chiang Mai province in northern Thailand, killing both pilots.
Royal Thai Air Force spokesman Jackkrit Thammanvichai stated that the aircraft was an AT-6TH two-seat light attack aircraft, which was conducting a search and rescue training mission under simulated combat conditions at the time of the incident. Because the crash site was in a forested area, there were no casualties or property damage among local residents.
Currently, Thai authorities are investigating the specific cause of the crash.
It is reported that in April 2025, a similar aviation accident occurred in Thailand, in which six police officers died when their aircraft crashed into the sea during a parachute exercise near a resort town south of Bangkok. (End)
