Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has confirmed that travel and tourism activities nationwide remain normal and unaffected. However, it has issued a travel advisory informing travelers that security measures have been implemented in seven provinces bordering Cambodia: Ubon Ratchathani, Sisaket, Surin, Buriram, Sa Kaeo, Chanthaburi, and Trat. As of December 16, 2025, due to the stabilizing security situation, the curfew in five districts of Trat Province (Khon Yai, Polai, Lemkok, Khao Sam Min, and Trat) has been lifted. Daily activities and services in Trat Province have returned to normal.

Meanwhile, martial law remains in effect in Chanthaburi Province (Mahmana District, Tha Mai District, Makham District, Lem Sieng District, Kang Hang Mai District, Na Ya An District, and Khao Khi Chak District), and in Sa Kaeo Province (Khosong District, Tha Phaya District, Aranyaprathet District, and Khon Ha District). The curfew measures in these four districts of Sa Kaeo province will remain in effect from December 10, 2025, until further notice, restricting movement between 7 pm and 5 am.

Nationwide, domestic and international transport services, including air, rail, bus, and sea transport, are operating as usual. Major destinations such as Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya (Chonburi Province), and Ayutthaya continue to welcome tourists.

However, rail and bus services in affected areas have been temporarily adjusted. The State Railway of Thailand (SRT) has adjusted ordinary trains 275/276 and 279/280 to operate only between Bangkok (Hua Lamphong Station) and Aranyaprathet. Service to Ban Klongruk border checkpoint is suspended until further notice. Passengers can call the SRT hotline 1690 (24-hour service) for assistance.

Meanwhile, Bangkok Transport Company has temporarily closed the Kantarak Bus Terminal in Sisaket Province. Bus routes originally scheduled to run to this terminal have been adjusted, including Route 98 (Bangkok to Ubon Ratchathani) and Route 4 (Bangkok to Khentaraak to Venturi). All passengers traveling to and from Bangkok must use the Kaeng Chan Road intersection as a temporary pick-up and drop-off point. For inquiries, please call 02-936-3660.

Travelers traveling to Nong Tin Thanh District, Buriram Province, are advised to avoid Highway 348 from Kaeo Phet Phloi to Chong Tako and follow local instructions regarding alternative routes.

Travelers are advised to avoid all restricted areas and checkpoints along the Thai-Cambodian border, where security measures remain in place and entry/exit is suspended. These restrictions apply only to specific areas in seven provinces in eastern and northeastern Thailand; other areas continue to operate normally under the supervision of local authorities. Tourists are advised to follow local government guidance and check official updates before planning their trips.

The Chong An Ma Checkpoint (Nam Yuan) and Yodhomme Wildlife Sanctuary in Ubon Ratchathani Province remain closed.

The border areas of Surin, Prasat Ta Muen Thom/Tod, Prasat Ta Kwai, Chong Chom, and Phanom Dong Rak are closed.

In Chanthaburi Province, the Ban Laem and Ban Phat Kad checkpoints, and the border areas near Pong Nam Ron and Soi Dao remain closed.

The Trat Ban Hat Lek, Ban Muen Dan, and Ban Ma Muang checkpoints remain closed.

We encourage travelers to comply with all safety regulations and follow any instructions from local authorities in these areas.
