根据泰国第一军区与第二军区指挥官联合签发的文件，此次边境关闭是由于边境局势持续紧张。
泰国军方声明中提及，特殊情况如病患者或学生仍被允许出入境。
截至目前，柬埔寨政府尚未就泰国军方此次单方面关闭边境口岸的行动作出任何正式回应。
