
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – To comprehensively advance the rural revitalization strategy and promote the integrated development of rural industries, talent, culture, and ecology across the Taiwan Strait, in accordance with the unified arrangements of the 5th Cross-Strait Youth Culture Month, the 2025 Jiangsu Cross-Strait Exchange Key Project "Fragrance Across the Straits" Advanced Training Course for Rural Operations Specialists was held in Suqian from August 22nd to 28th.
During the event, more than 60 young people from Taiwan spent a week learning in Suqian City, gaining an in-depth understanding of the development of Suqian's agricultural industry and rural construction, and jointly exploring new paths for agricultural transformation and upgrading in the digital economy era.
In the training course's "Cultivating the Same Field" themed practical activity, the young people from Taiwan visited agricultural industrial parks and rural revitalization demonstration sites in Shuyang County and Suyu District.
At Yisen Garden in Shuyang County, the young people from Taiwan gained an in-depth understanding of the online sales model of the bonsai industry and personally experienced the innovative practice of "Internet + Agriculture." The trainees learned bonsai making techniques from local bonsai masters, from pruning and shaping to maintenance and management, experiencing the perfect integration of traditional art and modern e-commerce. “This model of promoting traditional crafts through e-commerce platforms is amazing,” said Chen Xinlin, a student from Chaoyang University of Technology in Taiwan.
During their visit to Suyu District, the students visited CP Foods (Suqian) Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yihe Pet Products Co., Ltd., Chun·Shu Xiaoxiangju (a rural homestay), and the Grain Industrial Park. At CP Foods' modern processing workshop, the Taiwanese youth showed great interest in the highly mechanized production lines. At Jiangsu Yihe Pet Products Co., Ltd., the well-developed express logistics system impressed them, and they witnessed the entire process from packaging to shipping. Chun·Shu Xiaoxiangju showcased the organic integration of homestay economy and modern agriculture in rural revitalization. At the Grain Industrial Park, the students gained an in-depth understanding of the smart agricultural management system and experienced the temperature control technology and digital traceability system of modern grain warehouses.
Zhang Chunzhi, head of Mukuxia Homestay in Yilan County, Taiwan, said after the visit: “The comprehensive development concept of rural revitalization in mainland China is admirable, especially its achievements in industrial modernization and logistics system construction, which are worth learning from and emulating by Taiwan.” (End)
