Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Recently, at an important meeting, Chuon Narin, Deputy Commissioner General of the Cambodian National Police and Chief of Police of Phnom Penh, pointed out that the crackdown on juvenile gangs in Phnom Penh had slowed down due to the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, leading to signs of a resurgence of gang activities. He emphasized that as a law enforcement agency, the Phnom Penh police will not tolerate the resurgence of such behavior and has instructed police stations in all 14 districts of the city to immediately take strict measures, vowing to completely eradicate the term "gang" from society.

Chuon Narin issued clear instructions to the police stations in each district at the meeting. This meeting not only conveyed the Ministry of Interior's decision to establish a working group to oversee the deployment of police force and equipment in the capital and provinces, but also informed them of the plan for National Police Commissioner General Su Thon to dispatch a deputy commissioner general to various regions for inspection and supervision.

Chuon Narin stated that despite the ongoing escalation of the Cambodia-Thailand border conflict, the police will adopt a strategy of "prevention and crackdown" to resolutely curb the spread of gang activities. He urged officers to remain vigilant and not give any illegal gangs a chance to resurface, in order to ensure social safety and stability.

He pointed out that traffic congestion is a major concern for citizens' daily commutes and must be effectively addressed. To this end, he ordered the dedicated office to strengthen cooperation with the police stations in the 14 districts, increasing police deployment in areas prone to traffic congestion and enhancing traffic management.

Furthermore, Chun Narin also demanded further strengthening of security management in urban areas and commercial districts, emphasizing organization and coordination to prevent disorder on highways.

This operation demonstrated the Phnom Penh police's firm determination to maintain social order and protect the safety of citizens. It is believed that with the police's continued efforts, Phnom Penh will become safer and more orderly.
