Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of the 27th, a major traffic accident occurred on National Highway 7 in Okleesenchey District, Kratie Province, Cambodia. A Ford pickup truck collided violently with a vegetable delivery truck, resulting in the immediate deaths of both drivers and minor injuries to one other person.

According to preliminary investigations by local police, a white Ford pickup truck was traveling at high speed from north to south when, upon reaching a sharp bend, the driver apparently lost control and swerved sharply, causing the vehicle to veer into the oncoming lane and collide head-on with the truck.

After on-site investigation, police confirmed that speeding and improper maneuvering on the bend were the direct causes of the accident. Both vehicles were severely damaged in the impact and are currently impounded at the Okleesenchey District Police Station. The case is still under further investigation.

The bodies of the deceased have been handed over to their families by the police for funeral arrangements according to local customs.

The local traffic police department used this accident to remind all drivers that when driving on highways, winding roads, and provincial roads with complex road conditions, they must slow down, strictly abide by traffic regulations, and strictly prohibit speeding and illegal lane changes to ensure their own and others' safety.
