Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 18, 2025, the launching ceremony of the "A Hundred Boats Racing in Guang'an: Writing a New Chapter of Leapfrog Development" themed research and interview activity, focusing on the hometown of Deng Xiaoping, was held in Guang'an, Sichuan. Experts, scholars, and journalists from mainstream media outlets at the central and provincial levels gathered to kick off this research and interview activity focusing on Guang'an's leapfrog development.

It is understood that Guang'an City, located in northeastern Sichuan Province, is an important part of the Northeast Sichuan Economic Zone. Within its borders stand the majestic Huaying Mountains, Mingyue Mountains, and Tongluo Mountains, while the Jialing River and Qujiang River flow through fertile fields. Its red culture, folk culture, and folk art culture shine brightly.

Hong Li, member of the Standing Committee of the Guang'an Municipal Party Committee and Minister of the Publicity Department, introduced in her speech that Guang'an is currently ushering in major strategic opportunities such as the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, becoming the first prefecture-level city in the country to be fully incorporated into a cross-provincial metropolitan area. The Sichuan-Chongqing Gaozhu New Area has become the first cross-provincial co-construction new area in the country and a reform model with national influence.

Fang Xi, a second-level inspector of the Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission, stated that Guang'an is deeply integrating into the Chongqing Metropolitan Area, achieving significant results in areas such as infrastructure connectivity, collaborative development of modern industries, coordinated progress in major reforms, joint governance and protection of the ecological environment, and joint construction and sharing of public services.

In recent years, Chongqing has fully supported Guang'an's integration into the Chongqing Metropolitan Area, achieving a series of important results. Li Fanjin, a second-level inspector of the Chongqing Municipal Development and Reform Commission, stated that Chongqing has included Guang'an in the "Chongqing Metropolitan Area Development Plan" and established a special working group for Guang'an's integration into the Chongqing Metropolitan Area, supporting Guang'an's integration with Chongqing in five aspects: development planning, infrastructure, industrial integration, digital construction, and public services, thus contributing to Guang'an's high-quality development.

During the keynote speech session, Yang Jirui, honorary chairman of the Chengdu Federation of Social Sciences and dean of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Zone Development Research Institute of Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, provided an in-depth analysis of Guang'an's current development status and future opportunities. Yang Jirui believes that Guang'an should seize the opportunities brought by the future completion and opening of the Xi'an-Chongqing High-Speed Railway. While proactively connecting with Chongqing and integrating into the new regional development pattern, it should also strengthen its internal capabilities to enhance its competitiveness and strive to transform from a "recipient" to a "co-builder."

Following the launch ceremony, reporters from mainstream media outlets at the central and provincial levels will conduct in-depth field visits to Guang'an, focusing on areas such as industrial development, cultural and tourism integration, reform efforts, and the construction of a child-friendly, youth-development-oriented, and elderly-care-oriented "three-type" city, showcasing Guang'an's new leapfrog development from all angles.
