Some netizens also reported similar noises occurring frequently recently, mentioning similar sounds heard around noon and in the afternoon of December 9.

  The loud bangs caused concern among some residents, who speculated that they might be related to an earthquake or explosion. In response, reporters contacted the Ya'an Emergency Management Bureau for verification. The bureau stated that it had not received any reports of safety accidents or complaints related to work safety, and the overall work safety situation in the city was stable.

  Furthermore, according to data from the earthquake monitoring network, no natural earthquake activity was recorded in Ya'an and surrounding areas at the time of the loud bangs. The emergency management department reminded residents not to panic and will closely monitor the situation.
