Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of December 3, 2025, officers from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Cambodian National Police, in conjunction with the Svay Rieng Provincial Police, successfully arrested eight suspects in Bavet City, Svay Rieng Province, for alleged kidnapping and extortion. Among them were two Chinese nationals and six Burmese nationals.
The operation was highly successful. Police not only rescued six Chinese victims but also seized vehicles used by the suspects in committing the crimes, as well as tools used to torture the victims.
