  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, Daluo Customs, under the Kunming Customs, seized two slow loris claws.

  Daluo Customs officers, during a routine inspection at the non-cargo entry channel of the Daluo Port joint inspection building, discovered two animal claws in the front armrest of a small car. The items were identified as slow loris claws, weighing 12 grams.

  Slow lorises, also known as lorises, are rare and are a Class I protected animal in China. They are also listed in Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES), the China Species Red List, and the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species. The case has been filed and is being handled according to law.

  Customs reminds the public that, according to the CITES and the Wildlife Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, except for those with legal import/export permits and who have completed the required customs procedures, it is prohibited to trade, carry, or mail endangered species and their products into or out of the country. Those whose actions constitute a crime will be prosecuted according to law.
