Celebrating the 30th Anniversary of the Cambodian Ong Clan Association and the Formal Establishment of the Cambodian Ong

  On October 28, 2025, the 30th Anniversary Celebration of the Cambodian Ong Family Association and the Official Establishment Ceremony of the Cambodian Ong Family Chamber of Commerce were held at the Hyatt Regency Phnom Penh.

  Mr. Kittyshetha Banti Chan Prasit, Supreme Advisor to the King and Member of Parliament for Kampot Province; Ms. Kittyshetha Banti Ong Khanthapavih, Minister of Women's Affairs of Cambodia and Honorary Supreme Advisor to the Ong Family Association; Mr. Ong Ong Kyaw, Executive Director of the World Ong Family Association; and many Ong family members from China, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines were present.

  Professor Cham Prasit stated that over the past generations, the Chinese have made significant contributions to Cambodia's economic, social, and cultural development.

  Professor Cham Prasit said, "In Cambodia, the Chinese have become an important part of national life. For generations, they have contributed not only to the economic development of the Kingdom of Cambodia but also to its social and cultural development."

  Furthermore, Professor Cham Prasit emphasized that Chinese businessmen, artisans, entrepreneurs, and scholars have helped connect tradition with Cambodia's modern development.

  Professor Cham Prasit stated that the story of our ancestors is one of faithful integration into Khmer society, a story of building friendships with this land that gave us shelter and new life. We are proud to call Cambodia our home, and proud that Cambodia serves as a bridge connecting civilizations around the world.

  Meanwhile, Professor Cham Prasit noted that since its establishment thirty years ago, the Cambodian Ong Clan Association has been a symbol of unity, mutual assistance, and cultural preservation.

  Dr. Cham Prasit also expressed his hope that the Cambodian Ong Clan Association will continue to be a symbol of unity and service, contributing not only within the Chinese community but also to the prosperity and harmony of Cambodian society.

  Mr. Ong Hong Mong, President of the Cambodian Ong Clan Association, stated that for the past 30 years, they have been committed to promoting Ong clan culture and passing on the example of their ancestors through practical actions. They have decided to build a new association headquarters to improve office and activity facilities, providing a stable platform for family gatherings, meetings, and ancestral rites.

  The President stated that on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the Ong family business, the Cambodian Ong Family Business Association was established as a platform for exchange. The establishment of this association marks a new chapter for the Ong family business. It serves not only as a platform for new development but also as a vital bridge connecting Ong family entrepreneurs both domestically and internationally, and as a hub showcasing the economic strength of the Ong family.

  Mr. Okna Chea Soeun, Rotating Chairman of the Cambodian Chinese Alliance Association, stated that since the establishment of the Cambodian Ong Clan Association in 1995, under the leadership of its leadership and the joint efforts of all members, the association has consistently upheld the principles of protecting traditional culture, strengthening unity, and promoting the development of the Cambodian Chinese community. Like a large family, it allows all Ong clan members to communicate and help each other.

  This business tycoon also believes that under the leadership of Mr. Ong Hong Meng, President of the Ong Clan Association, and with the joint efforts of all members and the support of philanthropists, the Cambodian Ong Clan Association and the Cambodian Ong Clan Chamber of Commerce will continue to uphold the spirit of unity and mutual assistance, strive for development, actively participate in strengthening Cambodia-China friendly relations, and support Cambodia's development and the progress of the entire Cambodian Chinese community. The Cambodian Chinese Alliance Association will also continue to support the various activities of the Cambodian Ong Clan Association, jointly promoting the development and growth of the Cambodian Chinese community.

  Mr. Ong Chi Ching, Permanent Advisor of the Ong Clan Association of Cambodia and Chairman of the Ong Clan Business Association of Cambodia, also stated that Cambodia's political stability, economic growth, and the strengthening cooperation between China and Cambodia under the Belt and Road Initiative have provided broad development opportunities for Ong Clan entrepreneurs in Cambodia.

  He further stated that the business association will uphold the principles of "unity, integrity, innovation, and win-win cooperation," building a platform for family business alliances, promoting the development of family businesses, driving resource sharing and collective development, assisting the growth of family businesses, and actively promoting economic and trade cooperation and cultural exchanges between China, Cambodia, and the international community.

  Please note that the Ong Clan Association of Cambodia was established in 1995, adhering to the principles of "benefiting the family, uniting relatives, and promoting ancestral virtues."
